You check into the Siloso Beach Resort, located on the beautiful island of Sentosa, Singapore, and you are escorted by your personal guide to your Villa. You might walk pass rows of mini forests cared for lovingly and perhaps you will enter a shelter lined with pale, rough sea rocks collected specially from the ocean and accompanied by rare and exotic flora, chosen because they resemble graceful, swaying marine plants, you arrive at your private entry way.
Already feeling utterly pampered, you feel the worries of the world slipping away as your guide leads you pass more deep green shrubbery and sometimes even pass ponds with actual lilypads (and sometimes a happy frog or two) and across an expansive balcony to the threshold of your very own luxurious Villa siphoned away from the bustling crowd.
Immersed flawlessly with nature, you look towards your large four-poster bed shrouded by a beige cotton canopy that looks like it came right out of a fairy tale, and see that just next to it and behind a carefully constructed glass wall is a wizened tree nudging placidly through the dark wooden floors to a space made into the roof.
You amble out of the bedroom and find that under the sturdy rustic bamboo poles, is your own Jacuzzi lined with stunning and unique mosaic tiles that are lit at night by tiny lights that complement the mosaic work seamlessly.

Apart from other environmentally-friendly practices adopted resolutely by the Resort, greenery is everywhere and most especially at and in the Villas.
A peek out the floor-to-ceiling windows will reveal an expanse of lush and almost untouched forest. But right in the Villas, glassed or roped off to ensure that bugs do not intrude, are trees that come through the floors in the bedrooms, bathrooms and living rooms, sometimes stealing focus from the high-tech gadgets that come with the Villas.

The balmy humidity of Singapore’s tropical climate will never get to you since the Villas are air-conditioned. Also, all rooms come with a complimentary mini bar that includes the perennially popular soft drinks and fruit juices ready to quench any thirst while you channel-surf on the huge flat-screen TV.
While that is all exciting and it seems almost a sin if you do not spend every minute of your stay secreted away in your Villa, a walk around the resort would be just as relaxing. Small but wild garden patches along the pathways that mark the grounds where the Villas are, play home to plants and still sprouting seedlings of fruit trees like papayas, some coconuts and the infamous durian. A stroll around the quiet resort with the chirping from the crickets punctuated by the occasional ribbit from a frog makes for a peaceful milieu that will have you feeling as if you were alone and undisturbed.
If a quixotic getaway to rekindle or celebrate your love for one another is what you are looking for, then the isolated Villas and Siloso Beach Resort’s Romantic Package would do the trick. Besides, what can be more romantic than a dip in a beautiful Jacuzzi under the dark night sky knowing that there is no one else that matters besides the two of you or a morning waking up to each other in a grand bed with the trees rustling just a hair’s breadth away?
But maybe it is a proposal you are looking for, then there is no place that would help you carry out your plan more perfectly than the grand Villas. Beyond that, the friendly and sentimental staff will be more than happy to help with the prelude to the big day.
With three Villa types to choose from, guests are allowed the option of a private getaway at the cosy one-bedroom Villa, an intimate get-together at the two-bedroom Villa or access to a private pool at the two-bedroom Villa with swimming pool and private deck.
In the two-bedroom villas, the room divider between the living room and second bedroom can be swung open to conceal a queen-sized bed that folds easily into a crevice in a wall.
The divider then becomes an aesthetically-pleasing feature wall that doubles as a backdrop to solemnisations, an intimate birthday party and dining or meeting tables.
